# Recommendation hints

> Guide which products the assistant recommends in specific situations.

Guidance that influences which products the assistant suggests, for situation-based advice.

**When to use:** you want to promote certain products, pair complementary items, or steer recommendations in a specific situation.

**How to add:** recommendation hints are created from real conversations. In the **Playground** or a **Chat log**, use the **Add recommendation hint** action on a reply. They then appear under **Recommendation hints** in the knowledge store, where you can review, edit, or delete them.
